Door knocker with backplate

Central Europe, 17th century

Forged iron. The bar set with ring knobs, with the centre ring serving as a hammer. Wrought and pierced backplate of acanthus leaves with a mascaron in the centre. Square bar ring mount. Decorated with grooving.
